Art Residencies

A mixed-media visual art project that translates the complex, often unspoken experience of being a displaced immigrant and a Third Culture Kid (TCK). Struggling to find a verbal language that encapsulates this liminal identity, I created an alternative, hybrid visual syntax. The project fuses tangible, diverse materials—such as textured fabrics, metals, and folded paper—with digital recontextualization. By blending traditional cultural symbols with contemporary icons, "Hajeen" visually manifests the layered, contradictory, yet deeply interconnected nature of living between worlds. It is a profound exploration of memory, displacement, and the search for belonging through a newly forged artistic vocabulary.

Qayd El-Takween - B’sarya for Arts

Artist residency from February 2026 in Alexandria, within the “Qayd Al-Takwin” ( On Progress ) program at B’sarya Art Space, focusing on the development of Zawal Al-Najm (“The Star’s Decline”). The residency centers on experimental visual and sound practices, creating immersive experiences that mirror the life cycle of a star alongside the artist’s creative journey. It emphasizes research, technical experimentation, and the production of prototypes for interactive, performance-driven visual environments.
